James S. Jackson, Jr. 96 of Issue, MD passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday March 27, 2024 in Cobb Island, MD.
James was born on January 26, 1928 in Wayside, MD to the late James S. Jackson, Sr. and Ethel E. Jackson. He is also predeceased by his wife, Dorothy M. Jackson, brother, Lorenzo W. Jackson and sister, Ethel E. Murphy.
James is survived by his sons, James C. Jackson, Sr. (Betty Ann) and William R. Jackson (Carol); daughters, Catherine E. Kowalcyzk (Scott), Pamela A. Jackson and Mary T. Cook (Steve). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
James served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during WW II. After his return he became an electrician making his way to becoming a Master Electrician retiring from the Charles County Government. He was also a member of the Holy Ghost Church, Knights of Columbus # 11484 and the American Legion Harry Wilmer Post #0082. James was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing and crabbing and being with his family.
The family will receive friends on Thursday April 11, 2024 at the Holy Ghost Church (15848 Rock Point Rd. Newburg, MD 20664) from 9:30 AM until his Mass time at 11 AM. Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery.
