Carol Joann Wyne

Carol Joann Wyne, 84, of Lothian, MD passed away on March 22, 2018 at home.

Born on February 25, 1934 in LaPlata, MD to the late Levi Carroll Blackburn and the late Helen Irene Blackburn, she is also preceded in death by her husband, John M. Wyne; daughters, Linda J. Wyne, Catherine I. Thomas and Betty A. Wyne; and sisters, Mary P. Jenkins, Jean A. Kilmer and Lois Thompson.  Carol leaves behind to cherish her memory, sons, Calvin M. Wyne, Walter L. Wyne, Ernest G. Wyne and Danny M. Thompson; daughters, Mary White, Debra J. Notman and Tanya C. Lozano; brother, Albert E. Blackburn; sisters, Ruth White, Gayle E. Repass and Patricia A. Welch; 33 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Carol was employed by the Charles Co. Board of Education for 32 years and worked at Mt. Hope/ Nanjemoy Elementary School as a Secretary.  She was also a Top Avon Sales Representative.  After retiring, Carol helped many as a Caregiver.  She enjoyed cooking, flowers and loved her cats.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday March 28, 2018 from 10 to 12 Noon at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home (211 St. Mary’s Ave. LaPlata, MD 20646). Followed by Graveside Service’s 12:30PM at the Old Durham Church Cemetery (8700 Ironsides Rd. Nanjemoy, MD 20662).
