Goldie "Doris" Wedding

Goldie “Doris” Wedding, 90, of Port Tobacco, MD passed away at home on April 12, 2018.

Born in Ryceville, MD on March 18, 1928 to the late William Jefferson Collier and the late Goldie O. Shifflett Collier; Goldie is also preceded in death by her husband, Lee M. Wedding, Sr. and 12 siblings.  She is survived by her sons, Todd Wedding (Robin) and Lee Wedding, Jr.; daughter, Patricia Richmond (Robert); daughter, Mary Lou (the late, Leo) Croisetiere; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Goldie owned and operated Wedding Store in Port Tobacco, MD. She cherished her family and friends. Her greatest joy was caring for others and she always wanted everyone to be happy. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 2PM to 4PM and from 6PM to 8PM at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, PA (211 St. Mary’s Ave., LaPlata, MD); A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 11AM at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, PA; Interment to follow the Funeral Service at Trinity Memorial Gardens (3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Rd., Waldorf, MD).  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (www.alzfdn.org).  Online condolences may be offered at arehartechols.com.
