My thoughts and prayers go out to my dear friend and her family. Irene and I became friends when both of our husbands were diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. We remained the best of friends even after our husbands' deaths. My family and I were often the beneficiaries of Irene's baked goods, particularly her homemade fruitcakes at Christmas. We were great phone buddies, something I will dearly misss. May she rest in peace.

I was very sorry to hear of the passing of your mother as our families spent some time together back in the 60's and 70's. Irene always had some cookies baking and is affectionately remembered by all of us eating in the school cafeteria. Our dad went to Rosecroft Racetrack with your dad and we would spend time playing with Susie in the "GOOD OL' DAYS". Those are the memories emblazened in my heart. What a beautiful, giving person and how fortunate I was to have known her. God Bless her and keep her.
