We have lived in Bel Alton Estates for 40 years and Lewis has been a wonderful neighbor. On his walk to the Post Office or passing by in his car he always stopped for a little chat.  I would walk down to his house and have interesting conversations about family, old times, his adventures as a truck driver and gardening.  He always asked about my children and grandchildren.

My deepest sympathy to Melvin's family and Gene's family.

We have lived in Bel Alton for 40 years and Lewis has been a wonderful neighbor.  During late spring, early summer and fall, we would have wonderful conversations.  He shared old times before the neighborhood was here, his adventures as a truck driver and his family. On his walk to the post office Lewis would always stop if we were out in the yard.  He loved Kathy's flowers in our front yard.

He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Our deepest sympathy to the family.

We have lived in Bel Alton for over 30 years and have had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Bridgett for most of those years. My fondest memory was when he would stop by our house on his way to the post office. He would always have time to chat and have some good stories to tell. He was always cordial whenever he stopped by. I would sometimes go down to his house and chat with him for hours talking about the old days and of course his garden.

I have missed not seeing him lately and he will be truly missed.

Our condolences go out to his family.

God rest his soul.

Your friends, Robert and Sandy

Dear Melvin and Gene,

The first thing that came to mind when I heard of your dad's passing is that now he's with his Ruby after being without her for 30 years.  He was quite a character and what I remember most about him is his wit and his strong work ethic.  It's sad that we're losing all the members of The Greatest Generation.

Love, Judy
