Robert Walter Jarboe

Robert “Bob” Walter Jarboe, 68 of Reno, NV (formerly of Oxon Hill, MD) passed away on December 27, 2016.

Born in Washington, DC on October 6, 1948 to the late Marion and Teresa Jarboe, Robert is also predeceased by his brother, Butchy, who named him and who never had the opportunity to meet him in this life.  Robert is survived by his daughter, Jeanette Silvis and son-in-law Scott Silvis; brothers, James “Jim” Jarboe and his wife, Carol, Barry Jarboe and his wife, Mary, Floyd Jarboe and his wife, Alycia, Michael “Mike” Jarboe and his wife, Jo, and Francis “Frank” Jarboe; sister, Antoinette “Toni” Jarboe Duley and her husband, Hon. Patrick Duley; grandchildren: Valerie, Carolynn, Tiffani and Alex; and many nieces and nephews. 

Robert served in the U.S. Army spending 2 Tours in the Vietnam War.  He worked as an electrician for the International Gaming Technology.  He was of Catholic faith and attended St. Jerome’s Church.

A Memorial Gathering will be held for family and friends on October 7, 2017 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, PA (211 St. Mary’s Ave., LaPlata, MD); where a Memorial Service will begin at 1:30PM; Private Interment at a later date.  Online condolences to the family can be made at arehartechols.com.
