On the 29th of January 2018 the Angel of Death claimed the life of William Lindwood Proctor "Rodney" and landed him safely in God’s loving arms.
Rodney was born to the late Elaine Proctor and the late William K. M. Proctor on May 3, 1953. He was a native of Washington, DC, graduating from Ballou High School and attending college in Maryland. He served in the United States Marine Corp. for several years. Rodney also worked for the Federal Government. In 1989 he moved to Savannah, GA and worked for the City of Savannah for 10 years. In 1980 he met and married Amelia Ann Smith and to this union one child was born, Alexis Lynette Proctor. One sister, Angela James Carroll preceded in him death. Rodney is survived by one daughter, Alexis L. Proctor (Savannah, GA); one grandson, Kaden Brown (Savannah, GA); one sister, Truvella Carroll (Stevie) (Maryland); five brother-in-law’s, Gary Carroll (Maryland), William Smith (Crystal), Stephen Smith (Tonya); Joseph Smith (Cynthia) and Dennis Smith (Kimberly); one sister-in-law, Alicia Sanders (Tyrone); one maternal aunt, Mae Hancock; one paternal aunt, Lillian Banks; son in Christ, Jarold Lyles; a loving cousin, Barbara Johnson and a host of other cousins, nephews and nieces.
