Algie Ruth Feimster

Algie Ruth Feimster, born Algie Ruth Metcalfe on May 29, 1931, in Washington, DC, passed away on July 12, 2021, in Charlotte, NC, while visiting family. A resident of La Plata, MD, Algie was married to Maurice Blake Feimster Jr. who passed away in 2001. She is survived by her sister, Gloria Stem of Gettysburg, PA, her daughters Carol Feimster of La Plata, MD, Donna Glover of La Plata, MD, and Michele Simes of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Ashton Glover, Sarah Glover, Emily Simes, Elizabeth Simes and Blake Simes.

Algie was an indomitable character, a devoted friend, a loving and supportive mother and doting grandmother, and an extraordinary mother-in-law. A memorial and celebration of Algie's blessed life will be held at Arehart-Echols Funeral home in LaPlata, MD. on Sunday, July 18, 2021 2-4pm.
