Alice Marie Burroughs 89, of White Plains, MD.

Alice was born on November 13, 1934 in Dentsville, MD to the late William and Lillian Murphy. She is also predeceased by her husband, Garner Burroughs; son, Robert Lee Burroughs; granddaughter, Nicole Lynn Burroughs; brothers, Joe Murphy, Melvin Murphy, James Murphy, William Murphy, Paul Murphy and Johnny Murphy; sisters, Lillian Rawlings, Mary Lou Oliver and Frances Vermillion.

Alice is survived by her sons, Garner Hayden Burroughs, Jr. and Gordon Raymond Burroughs; brothers, Daniel Murphy, David Murphy and Edward Murphy; sisters, Joyce Fawler and Linda Fawler. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday January 29, 2024 from 4 to 7 PM at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home (211 St. Mary’s Ave. LaPlata, MD 20646). Her Funeral Service will be Tuesday January 30, 2024 at 1 PM at the Christ Church – Wayside Church (13050 Rock Point Rd. Newburg, MD 20664). Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jason Burroughs, Gordon Burroughs, Richard Wilson, Buck Oliver, Walter Fawler and Willie Rawlings.
