Benny Roger Willis, Sr. 75 of Newburg, MD passed away March 6, 2021 in LaPlata, MD.

Benny was born on September 21, 1945 in Coeburn, VA to the late John and Lola Willis. He is also predeceased by his brother, Lester Willis; sister, Shelba Jean (Bobbie) Reese and grandson, Mikie Simms.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Willis; son, J.R. Willis, Jr. (Mary); brother, Clement Willis; sister, Ruby Lovetta Reece; granddaughter Samantha Dyke (J.J.).

He worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was a Mason, loved his Detroit Lions and Tigers sports teams. He also enjoyed NASCAR and was always on the go.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday March 16, 2021 from 4 to 7 PM with a Funeral Service at 6:30 PM at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home (211 St. Mary’s Ave. LaPlata, MD 20646). Interment will be at a later date.
