Charles Edward Drinks, Jr.

Charles E. Drinks, Jr., 78, of Davenport, FL (formerly of LaPlata, MD) passed away on July 12, 2020 at Spring Lake Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr.

Born in LaPlata, MD on December 21, 1941 to the late Charles and Minnie Drinks, he is also predeceased by his first wife, Barbara Drinks; son, John R. Drinks, Sr.; brother, Edward L. Drinks; and sisters, Carole Gehring and Lillian Petersen.  Charles leaves behind his wife of 20 years, Donna Cermak; sisters, Diane Dean and Judy Norris (Joseph); children, Katherine Odom (Patrick), James E. Drinks (Tonya), Michael T. Drinks,  Steve Cermak (Diana) and Nancy Cermak (Eli Pothier); grandchildren, Victoria McDowell (Marcus), Danielle Fawley, Sarah Fawley, John Drinks, Jr. , Crystal Drinks, Ben Cermak, Abby Cermak , Tim Cermak, Samantha Eddy (John), Amanda Wilkins (Jeremy) and Cara Barger (Nick); and several great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, (211 St. Mary’s Ave., LaPlata, MD) on Monday, July 20, 2020 from to 6PM to 8PM; Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, 11 AM at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home. Interment to follow at the Trinity Memorial Gardens. At the cemetery everyone except immediate  family must please remain in you car.  Please wear a mask and practice social distancing.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charles’ memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (P.O.
