Cynthia Wolters 74 of LaPlata, MD passed away on Thursday September 4, 2025 at her home.
Cindy was born on June 21, 1951 in Charlestown, MA. She is predeceased by her husband, Cornelius “Casey” Wolters, and her sister, Carol McCarthy.
She is survived by her sons, Tim Giles and Leo Giles. She is also survived by her two granddaughters and cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews.
To know Cindy was to love her. Cindy was a cosmetologist who owned and operated “Cindy’s Mens Hair Styling” in Conroe, TX for 30 years. She was wicked proud of being Irish from Charlestown, MA, with a hardworking and stubborn streak that meant nothing held her back. There’s no time like the present, and she lived her life as full as possible. Her outgoing personality showed in the sparkle in her eye and beautiful smile, attracting friends everywhere she went. After retiring, Cindy and her beloved Casey took to the RV life, adventuring for some time until they settled down in Charles County to be a part of their Granddaughters’ lives. You would find her laughing it up on the pickleball courts, playing Texas Hold’em with friends, hosting parties along her rivah, or singing along with local bands at her favorite local restaurants, and she was always ready for a good road trip. Cindy’s smile and sense of humor was infectious and she loved nothing more than meeting new folks, treasuring new and old friendships alike.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam
Cindy’s celebration of life will be planned for her next birthday, a final party for all of her favorite people to laugh and tell stories and raise our glasses one more time to this special lady who touched so many lives.
