Obituary

David Henry Summers, Sr., 92 of Nanjemoy, MD passed away on January 4, 2022 at the University of Maryland Charles Regional Center.

Born in Washington, DC on May 25, 1929 to Roy and Jenny Summers, David is also predeceased by his wife, Shirley Summers; and brother, John Summers.  David leaves behind his sons, David Summers, Jr. and Gary Summers; daughters, Sheryl Boblits and Debbie Titus; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

David proudly served in the U.S. Marines and was employed by the State of Maryland as a Forest Ranger.  He was also a member of the Ironsides Volunteer Rescue Squad.  David was an incredible person who loved his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren more than anything in the world.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on January 14, 2022 from 2PM to 8PM at Ironsides Rescue Squad (6120 Port Tobacco Rd., Port Tobacco, MD).  Interment will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David’s memory to Ironsides Volunteer Rescue Squad (P.O. Box 409, Ironsides, MD 20677).
