Dawn M. Griffin 65 of Marbury, MD.

Dawn passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at her home surrounded by loved ones.

She was born on September 12, 1959, in Washington, DC to Lorraine Griffin and the late Charles Griffin.

In addition to her mother Dawn is survived by her sister, Terri Buckler; brothers, Thomas Griffin (Renee), Charles Griffin (Elizabeth), John Griffin (Mary Jane), Robert Griffin (Karen) and Jeffrey Griffin, 15 nieces and nephews, 22 great nieces and nephews, and 1 great-great niece.

Dawn enjoyed watching baseball games, visiting with family, trying new recipes, and serving as the family historian by keeping track of birthdays and anniversaries. Her memory was unmatched when it came to remembering dates. Dawn took many photos of her family over the years and viewing her photo albums gave her much comfort as her health declined. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 9 from 10am until service time at 11am at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home (211 St. Mary’s Ave. LaPlata, MD 20646). Interment will be on Monday, October 21 at 1pm at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery (11301 Robert S Crain Hwy. Cheltenham, MD 20623).
