Doris May Benson

Doris May Benson 90 of Waldorf, MD passed away on September 20, 2023 at her home.

She was born on April 3, 1933 in Washington, DC She worked as an executive Secretary for the Federal Home Loan Board, USAF in Andrews, Bureau of Prisons in D.C. and Walls Bakery, PG County. She was married to Jesse V. Benson who passed away May 25, 2009. She is also predeceased by her sister, Elsie Finn. Survivors are her 2 sons Richard and Michael Benson; Grandchildren, Michael Benson, Joy Drake, Charlie Benson and Emily Benson 13 Great-Grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth Miller, Peggy Elgin and Cheryl Miller.

The family will receive friends on Friday September 29, 2023 at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home (211 St. Mary’s Ave. LaPlata, MD 20646) from 11 AM until service time at 1 PM. Interment will be at a later date.

Pallbearers will be Michael Benson, Joy Drake, Charlie Benson, Emily Benson, Don Allen and Robert Sponaugle.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ricky Benson, Mike Benson, Debbie Fitzgerald, Michele Wido, Sharon Burnette and Kenny Hunt.
