Edward J. Spurlock, Jr.

EDWARD J. SPURLOCK, JR, (Ed) of Pomfret MD, suddenly passed away on March 9, 2023, from a heart attack. He was 49 years old. He was born in Washington, DC, on October 27, 1973, to Pauline (Charney) Spurlock and Edward J. Spurlock.

He is predeceased by his father, Edward J Spurlock. He is survived by his devoted mother Pauline (Charney) Spurlock, sister Lisa Marie and son-in-law Christopher Lee; aunts and uncles Suzanne and John Naylor, and Paulette and John Lee; cousins Kelly Anne (Chris) Marcum and Heidi Rebecca Lee; Rusty (Kendra) Echols; Rhonda Grant; Cain Spurlock; nephew Corey (Tessa) Lee; niece Ashley (Wafur) Hernandez.

Ed was a collector of rare music, an avid guitar player, and the owner of BC Sports Cards & Collectibles in White Plains, MD. He was a 1991 graduate of McDonough HS and a 1996 graduate of Towson University. Ed was a gentle soul and touched many hearts. He always looked out for others and will be missed by many.

Visitation for Ed will be on Monday, March 20, from 4 to 7 pm with prayers at 6 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at 11 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 4590 St. Joseph Way, Pomfret, MD, with burial afterwards in the church cemetery.
