Elizabeth Rose (Brown) Norton passed away on November 28, 2024, in dignity and peace, at the age of 84 surrounded by her loving children and caregivers.
Born in Washington, D. C. to Margaret Veronica (O’Lone) Brown and William Barry Brown Sr., Elizabeth graduated from the then named Immaculata High School in Washington, D. C.
Elizabeth worked as a secretary in the civil service for a time before marrying and raising her three children in Charles County, Maryland where she lived for most of her life.
For many years, Elizabeth enjoyed crafting, gardening, painting, and being on the water. She was a faithful church member, sang in the choir, gave her time and resources freely to those in need, and had a beautiful sense of style. Her greatest joy was caring for her babies, her own, in the church nursery, and all her special little ones whom she babysat over the years. She was a generous, patient, loving, and kind woman.
Elizabeth is predeceased by her parents, Margaret Veronica (O’Lone) and William Barry Brown Sr., her siblings Margaret M. Chaconas, Mary J. Cox, William B. Brown Jr., Lucy E. Fahey, and Kathryn C. Stepanek. She is survived by her children Heather L. Milton and daughter in-law Hope Barwig, Stephanie L. Milton, and Rodney W. Milton.
Elizabeth was celebrated privately and interred at the Trinity Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Waldorf, Maryland
