Francis “Frank” Carpenter 75 of Manchester, MD formally of Newburg, Md. Passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday December 21, 2024 at his home.
Frank was born on April 1, 1949 in LaPlata, MD to the late F. Kirby and Agnes Carpenter. He is also predeceased by his son, Kevin Carpenter.
Frank is survived by his wife, Kathleen Carpenter; sons Nicholas Carpenter, Daniel Carpenter and Justin Carpenter; brother, A.C. Carpenter; sister, Mary Agnes Swann. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Michael, Madelyn, Desirae and Joseph.
Frank grew up in Newburg, MD. He had many things he enjoyed including hiking, canoeing and was a talented arborist. He was known to be an adventurist and a motorcycle enthusiast. He worked as a Microbiologist for the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSAC) for 34 years. After retirement he went to work for Frederick Water Company for 10 years then moved to Roseville California and worked for a private laboratory BSK for 5 years and then returned to Maryland in 2021.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday January 4, 2025 at the St. Ignatius Church – Chapel Point (8855 Chapel Point Rd. Port Tobacco, MD 20677) at 11 AM. Interment will be at a later date.
