Francis “Boo” Oliver 85 Lexington Park, MD passed away at home on Tuesday November 14, 2023.
A lifelong resident of Southern Maryland, formally from Newburg, Lexington Park and Chaptico. Boo was born in Newport , MD, on July 4, 1938, to the late Jarrett and Mildred Oliver. He is also predeceased by his loving wife, Audrey Oliver; brother, Charles Edward Oliver and his sister, Mary Elenor Oliver.
Boo is survived by his children, Darlene Miller (Jimmy) of Lexington Park, Glen Oliver (Kimberly) of Leonardtown and Cindy Hill (Henry) of Bushwood. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Boo was a farmer for over 45 years, working alongside his father (Jarrett) and other family members in the Issue area. He also, loved to crab in the summer and oyster on his 40ft. boat in the winter months. After farming, went downhill Boo went to work for U.S. Steel as a mechanic at the Swan Point Country Club. Having a love for the outdoors he enjoyed hunting, fishing and hunting dogs. This was something that he passed on to all of his kids and continued down to his grandkids and great-kids. He never met a stranger; he was friends with everyone; he was simply Humble.
The family will receive friends on Sunday November 26, 2023 at the Arehat-Echols Funeral Home (211 St. Mary’s Ave. LaPlata, MD 20646) from 2 to 6pm. Funeral services will be held on Sunday November 26, 2023 at the Funeral Home at 5 PM. Interment will be at the Holy Ghost Church Cemetery (Swan Point Rd. Issue, MD) on Monday November 27, 2023 at 11:30 AM.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons -JL Miller, Jousha Oliver, Casey Grimes, Allen Hill, Andy Hill, Aiden Hill with Honorary Pallbearers will be grandsons – Keith Grimes, JR Lacey and TJ Oliver.
