James Schneider

James (Jim) Schneider of La Plata, MD. died on April 2, 2023 at the age of 78 after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his parents Elizabeth and John Schneider and leaves behind his beloved wife of nearly 55 years, Susan (Sue). Also surviving are his daughter, Christine Pimblett and husband John of Ashland, VA., and his son, Andrew Schneider and wife Krista of Eldersburg, MD. Seven grandchildren adored their grandfather including Will, Andrew, and Tyler Pimblett plus Kamryn, Konnor, Keeghan, and Kolton Schneider. Additional family survivors are Jim's brother, Philip Schneider and wife, Mary of Pawleys Island, SC., and his sister Beth Shankman of Aurora, Ohio. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins also mourn his loss.

Jim graduated from Lehigh University with a Math degree in 1967 and obtained his Master’s degree in Technology Management from American University in 1969. He worked at NSA and several private companies until retiring from SRA Corporation. His retirement years were spent gardening, stamp collecting, painting, hiking local trails with his dog Laci, beach vacations at Pawleys Island, SC., and playing games and sports with his grandchildren. He really enjoyed family gatherings and will be remembered at a special family celebration of life at a later date.
