John Chapman Obituary

John was born December 03, 1947 in Washington, D.C. to the late Cecil and Ruth Chapman.

He is survived by his loving wife Nancy, Sister Madeline and Brother Jody. Daughter Dawn (Jim), Son Dan (Jennifer), Daughter Nicole (Jeffrey). Grandchildren, Casey, Madison, Colton, Makayla, Lily, Alex and Emma. Great-grandchildren, Anthony, Skyler and Lucas.

John proudly retired from the U.S. Navy (Machinist Mate), the Federal Government (Boiler Engineer) and the City of Sarasota, Florida (Water treatment Plant Engineer).

John loved and enjoyed spending time with his family and had a soft spot for animals, especially his dogs.

He also enjoyed motorcycles (Harleys), traveling, eating (ice cream), scuba diving, swimming and the beach.

John spent many years as a runner, it was his therapy.

He overcame many obstacles in his life and did it all for the love of his family.

What his family will miss most about him, is his ability to make us laugh and his bright witty sense of humor!
