John David Greer

John David Greer, 59 of Luray, VA passed away on April 5, 2023 in Luray, VA.

David was born on January 23, 1964 in Washington, DC to the late John and Mary Joanne Greer. He is also predeceased by his sister, Marianne Fast and step-mother, Christie Greer.

He is survived by his wife, Krissy Greer; daughter, Natalie Gross and son-in-law, Brandon Gross; brother, Patrick Greer; sisters, Kathy Self, Andrea Weightman, Sharon Bogle and Susan Greer; grandchildren, Kaylina Gross and Trae Gross.

David was a painter known for his great skills in the trade. He was very hardworking and took pride in his accomplishments. David and Krissy spent many years running two restaurants and enjoyed their dream home on the water in St. Mary’s County, Maryland. David loved spending time with his family especially his father who was his best friend. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, being on the water and the beach. He always made his presence known when he entered a room and made new friends everywhere he went. David was the life of the party and loved cracking jokes. He was quite the collector and could see the beauty in many things that others could not. David will always be known as a generous man with a huge heart.

The family will receive friends on Thursday April 13, 2023 from 4 PM to 7 PM and on Friday April 14, 2023 from 10 AM until his service time at 12 noon at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home (211 St. Mary’s Ave. LaPlata, MD 20646). Interment to follow at the Trinity Memorial Gardens (3221 Mattawoman Beantown Rd. Waldorf, MD 20601).
