Joyce Marie (Raybold) DiMisa, 84, of Grantsville died Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Goodwill Retirement Community.

            Mrs. DiMisa was born in Washington, DC on December 14, 1940, and was the daughter of the late Lillian and Robert Raybold, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Francis “Sonny” DiMisa, brothers Robert, Jr. and John Raybold, and sister Linda Summers.

            A Wheaton High School graduate, she supported her family by being a lifelong homemaker and was married to Sonny for nearly 65 years. Over the years, she held various part time jobs to help support her family. Joyce and Sonny made their home for nearly 40 years in White Plains, Maryland, where she participated numerous service activities for the community as a member of a service sorority. A member for many years of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in LaPlata, MD. Joyce and Sonny attended St. Ann Catholic Church in Edenton, NC since moving there in 2006.

            Joyce is survived by her sisters: Joan Raybold and Barbara Sagan; two sons, James Francis DiMisa (wife, Amy) of Swanton, MD, and Joseph Mark DiMisa (wife, Christine) of Centerville, OH; five grandsons, Christopher (wife, Rachel), Sam (wife, Megan), Ryan, Michael, and Connor DiMisa; and great-granddaughter, Hayden. Another great-grandchild is due to be born in September.

            A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00pm (noon) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 201 St. Mary’s Avenue La Plata, MD. The burial will follow at Sacred Heart Church Cemetery, LaPlata, MD. Friends may visit with the family in the church the hour prior to mass.
