Kay Work

Kay F. Work 78, of LaPlata, MD passed away on Friday February 24, 2023 at her home in Hickory Ridge.

She was born on March 23, 1944 in Washington, DC to the late Joseph and Mabel Morris Wheeler.

She was a Supervisor at Naval Ordinance Station in Indian Head, MD for over 30 years and a member at the Chicamuxen United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Work and her brother-in-law Leo Quinlan, Sr. (Peewee).

She is survived by her daughter and husband Sandra and Curtis Darnell, Jr. son and his wife Robert and Jenifer Shelton; sister, Joann Quinlan; nephew Leo Quinlan, Jr.; grandchildren Lacy and Tucker Shelton and Curt Darnell; grandnephew Joseph Quinlan, III and grandniece Kelly Raff.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday March 4, 2023 at the Chicamuxen United Methodist Church (5605 Chicamuxen Rd. Indian Head, MD 20640).
