Kenneth Shawn Abell

Kenneth Shawn Abell 51 of LaPlata, MD passed away on Sunday January 7, 2024.

Shawn was born on December 19, 1972 in LaPlata, MD to Kathy Abell Lee and the late Ronald Stephen Abell.

Shawn is survived by his half-brother, Wade and his half-sister, Barbara Jean; Aunt, Karen Ayers (Roger) and uncle, Mike Abell.

He was known for being an excellent welder. He loved crabbing, fishing, hunting and hanging out with his friends. He was always there when help was needed.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday January 23, 2024 from 10 AM until Funeral Service at 11:30 AM at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home (211 St. Mary’s Ave. LaPlata, MD 20646. Interment to follow at the St. Ignatius Hilltop Church Cemetery (6455 Port Tobacco Rd. LaPlata, MD 20646).
