Linda L. Hunt

Linda Louise Hunt, 72, of LaPlata, MD passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at home.

Linda was born on March 12, 1949 in Pearisburg, Virginia to Ralph and Madeleine “Betty” Lester. She is preceded in death by her father.

Linda is survived by her husband of 52 years, Cecil Allen “Butch” Hunt, Jr.; son, Jeffrey Allen Hunt (Emily); grandson, Daniel Allen Hunt; brother, Daniel Lester (Donna); nieces, Connie Carney (Michael) and Jennifer Blackwell (Simon).

Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter. She spent much of her time helping with the family business, Hunt Ford.  Linda was a loving and caring person who was always willing to help others. Through the years she participated in fundraising efforts for organizations such as the American Cancer Society, Hospice, and Safe Nights.

The family will receive friends on Thursday November 18, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home (211 St. Mary’s Ave. LaPlata, MD 20646). Her Funeral Service will be held at 9 AM on Friday November 19, 2021 at the Funeral Home.

Interment to follow at the Mt. Comfort Cemetery (6600 S Kings Hwy. Alexandria, VA 22306)
