Lisa Neva Macdonald, 57 years of age, residing in Mooresville, NC, died Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at her home after a battle with cancer.
Lisa was Born, December 30, 1963 in Victor, Iowa to William and Alice Montgomery. Her siblings are Dawn Turner, Todd Montgomery, and Scott Montgomery.
She was married October 9, 1999 to Michael R. Macdonald at their home in Huntingtown, MD.
She attended Hartwick Ladora Victor Community High School and attended Kirkwood Community College.
Lisa worked in hospitality in Atlanta, GA, where she met the love of her life, her husband, Michael R. Macdonald.
She loved spending time playing with her dogs, as well as loved gardening, traveling, cooking, and most of all taking care of her loved ones, including her beloved Bearded Collies, Bogart, Josie, and Ernie.
Her religious views were Methodist, as she prayed daily for her loved ones.
She was a strong Republican in which she volunteered many hours of her time to multiple elections throughout the years.
She is survived by her husband, Michael R. Macdonald, a Vietnam Vet, whom she was very proud of all his achievements. Step son, Michael P. Macdonald, of Mechanicsville, MD. Father, William Montgomery of Atlanta, GA. Sister, Dawn Turner of Atlanta, GA. Brother Todd Montgomery of Austin, TX. Brother, Scott Montgomery of San Diego, CA. Nieces, Liza Woods and Allison Montgomery. Nephews, Trevor Turner and William Montgomery. Also many in-laws that adored her as well as her two Bearded Collies, Josie and Ernie.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Alice Montgomery, Grandfathers and Grandmothers, and her first beloved Bearded Collie Bogart.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday December 22, 2021 from 2 until her Celebration of Her Life at 3 PM at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home (211 St. Mary’s Ave. LaPlata, MD 20646).

As our hearts are grieving over the loss of our beloved Lisa, remember that our life here on earth is described as that of a vapor and our ultimate goal is to reach our final resting place in the arms of our Heavenly Father.
