Margaret Reihm Horst

Margaret Reihm Horst, 102 of LaPlata, MD passed away on Sunday February 9, 2025 in LaPlata, MD.

Margaret was born on February 3, 1923 in Laurel, MD to the late Thomas and Viva Reihm. She is also predeceased by her husband Preston Horst.

Margaret is survived by her sons, Bernie Horst and Robert “Bobby Horst; daughter, Bonnie Forsyth. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Margaret worked as a title clerk for the automotive industry. She enjoyed playing bingo and loved cooking. She was known for her delicious rum cake.

The family receive friends on Friday February 21, 2025 from 1 to 3 PM at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home (211 St. Mary’s Ave. LaPlata, MD 20646). Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Foundation for the blind (1401 S Clark St. #730 Arlington, VA 22202).
