Mary Elizabeth McDonald

Mary Elizabeth McDonald 83, of Newburg, MD passed away on Tuesday October 5, 2021 at her home.

Mary was born in Prince George’s County, MD on October 17, 1937 to the late Jerome and Mary Michael. She is also predeceased by her husband, Brent McDonald; sons, Michael Thompson and Joseph Thompson; brother, Jerome Michael and two grandchildren, Justin and Brian.

Mary is survived by her son, Richard Thompson; daughter, Debra Bowling; sister, Helen Sevier; grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy, Jacob, Matthew, Bradley, Michael, Cody, David, Katherine and Nathan; great grandchildren, Lola, Kyndra, Jordyn, Julia, Lilly, Calvin, Ruby and Max.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday October 13, 2021 from 9 until her service time at 11 AM at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home (211 St. Mary’s Ave. LaPlata, MD 20646). Interment to follow at the Holy Ghost Church Cemetery (Issue, MD)

Her repass will be held at the Newburg Volunteer Rescue Squad and Fire Department (12245 Rock Point Rd. Newburg, MD 20664).
