Mary Alice Osakowicz

Mary Alice Osakowicz of Newburg, MD passed away on Sunday September 28, 2025 at her home. She was 92.

Mary was born on August 20, 1933 in Pomfret, MD to the late James Worthington Willett and Lessie Mae Adams. She is also predeceased by her husband, Frank Osakowicz, Sr.; brothers, James Willett and Donald Willett; sisters, Marie Bowie and Margaret Mattingly.

Mary is survived by her son, Frank Osakowicz, Jr. (Lucille); daughters, Sharie Pruitt (William) and Karen Spalding (Patrick); brother-in-law John Osakowicz; sister-in-law, Helen Hajnal and their families; grandchildren, Christine, Joseph, Austin, Michael, John, Daniel, Tabitha, Heather and Anthony; great grandchildren, Richard, Ben, Brock, Cassie, Mikie, Cody, Madison, McKenzie, Alexis, Chloe, Londyn and Lillith, 2 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was very active in her church Holy Ghost. She enjoyed the outdoors, saying the rosary on her daily walks. She loved to laugh and enjoyed being with family and friends. Some of her hobbies were woodworking and doing all sorts of puzzles. She was also known for being a great cook.

The family will receive friends on Friday October 10, 2025 at the Holy Ghost Church (15848 Rock Point Rd. Issue, MD 20664). From 9:30 AM until Mass time at 11 AM.

Interment to follow at St. Josephs Church Cemetery (4590 St. Josephs Way Pomfret, MD 20675).
