Mary E. Still

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Mary Eleanor (Graves) Still (91) who passed away peacefully on June 25, 2022 at her home in Homosassa, Fl. She was formally of Issue, MD. She was born on May 26, 1931 in Ryceville, MD and wife of the late Felder (Bill) Still, Sr.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Graves and Bessie (Ryce) Graves and her son, Felder (Buddy) Still, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Still) Hess (Anthony) of Milton, DE and Brian L. Still (Cathy) of Homosassa, FL. Also she is survived by grandchildren, Steve Hales, Aaron Still and Pamela Barnard (Austin), William Still and Thomas Still, and great grandchildren, Ashlyn Hales, Jeremy Barnard and Corbin Still. She is also survived by her sister, Sandra Lawson (Richard) of Strasburg, Virginia and daughter-in-law, Ellen Still of Leonardtown, MD. Also, many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was a devoted mother and wife. A lifelong homemaker and 4-H leader. Family gatherings were her greatest joy. She loved her tablet, the internet and keeping up with family on Facebook.

Viewing will be at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, 211 St. Mary’s Ave. LaPLata, MD 20646 on July 7, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Mass will be held on July 8, 2022 at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 201 St. Mary’s Ave. LaPlata, MD 20646.

Interment will be private at the Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
