Mary Ann Cox

Mary Ann Cox, 88 of Newburg, MD passed away peacefully on January 13, 2023 in LaPlata, MD.

Mary Ann was born in Rock Point, MD to the late Francis Stonestreet and Ethel Stine.

Mary Ann is survived by her loving husband, William Cox; daughter, Marilyn Cox; granddaughter, Karen Hamilton (JP) and beloved great grandsons, Noah and Nicholas Hamilton.  She is predeceased by her daughter, Linda Baron Cox.

Mary Ann worked at Shumans Bakery in Alexandria, VA and The Flagship in Washington, DC. She was known as being determined and a hard worker.  Mary Ann enjoyed gardening, baking, canning, and most of all-spending time with her great grandsons.  She and her husband were married for 59 wonderful years. She leaves us with so many wonderful memories.

Her visitation will be held on Thursday February 2, 2023 from 9:30 AM until her Funeral Mass at 11 AM at the Holy Ghost Church (15848 Rock Point Rd. Newburg, MD 20664). Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery.
