Michael White Obituary

Michael Anthony White, 59, of Waldorf, passed away peacefully after a long battle with Myelodysplastic syndrome and Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, at University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center, La Plata, on June 25, 2022.

Funeral Service will be private and limited to immediate family and close friends. The service will be held at Areheart-Echols Funeral Home. Pastor Dave Huffman will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are being held by Areheart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata.

Michael was born in Montgomery, West Virginia on September 8, 1962.  He joined the United States Army in 1979 before enlisting in the United States Air Force and retiring on September 11 2001, as a Master Sergeant. He proudly served in Germany on the Fulda Gap during the fall of the Berlin Wall helping usher in the eventual collapse of the Iron Curtain. Upon his cancer diagnosis Michael became a member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Michael enjoyed computers, fishing and camping but his love was always his family.

Michael was married to Loretta Ann White, November 5 1981. They were happily married over 40 years. Michael is survived by his wife Loretta and their three children Michael White Jr, Kristen Hendricks and her husband Dustin Hendricks and Amanda White. Michael has four grandchildren, Mackenzie, Dustin Jr., Dylan and Myah.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Forrest William White and his mother Patricia Ann White.
