Orban Ralph Grigsby 89 of Bel Alton, MD passed away at his home on Wednesday March 30, 2022.
Orban was born on August 11, 1932 in Washington, DC to the late Orban and Viola Grigsby. He is also predeceased by his wife Lena Grigsby: sister, Janet Dant ; grandchildren, Nicholas Grigsby and Stacey Lyons.
Orban is survived by his sons, Orban Ralph Grigsby, Jr., Russell Grigsby and Marty Grigsby; daughters, Connie Turner, Anna Lyons, Cheri Brady, Janell Grigsby, Alica Novak and Lena Jo Spitzer; Brothers, Wayne Grigsby and Mike Grigsby; sister, Carolyn Benson; 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Orban was a brick mason and Was a custom home builder starting his business O.R. Grigsby and Son’s Inc. He was a Minor League Baseball player and enjoyed race cars, car shows, playing golf and showing horses.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday April 6, 2022 from 10:30 AM until his service time at 12:30 PM at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home (211 St. Mary’s Ave. LaPlata, MD 20646) Interment to follow at the Sacred Heart Church Cemetery, LaPlata, MD.
