Patricia Frye

Patricia Frye age 79 died at home on Tuesday morning October 19 after a two-year fight with breast cancer. It was divine departure. Just two minutes before her last breath, the home phone rang, when answered there was no voice at the other end. When the number on caller ID was dialed a recording said it was not in service. Believe what you want, AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE WE WILL SERVE THE LORD.

A few months before President Kennedy was assassinated, a single mom arrived in Washington, DC on a Greyhound bus. She had no money. American chemical offered her a clerical job and advanced her money for rent.

Throughout the years, Patty advanced in payroll and accounting for several companies in the DC metro area. She worked at GYM department stores, Martins China, and Heller Electric to name just a few.

In the early 80’S, she met Oscar Lease. Together, they opened an accounting business in LaPlata which flourished for 30 years. Some people may remember that they were the first accountants in Southern Maryland to offer Electronic Filing in 1988.
