Richard Lee Gunnell

Richard Lee Gunnell 62 of Avenue, MD passed away on Monday October 24, 2022 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Richard was born on September 4, 1960 in Washington, DC to Peggy Gunnell and the late James Gunnell, Sr.

Richard is also survived by his loving wife, Debbie Gunnell; son Josh Howard (Christine); daughter, Jennifer Jones (Dave); brother, Jimmy Gunnell, Jr. (Bonnie); sister, Debbie Deakins; grandchildren, Joey, Jordan, Riley, A.J., Laila, Jacob, Jackson, David and Vikki. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Richard loved to stay busy. He liked to go fishing, crabbing and boating. He also enjoyed working in the yard, woodworking and working on cars.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday November 1, 2022 from 11 until service time at 1 PM at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home (211 St. Mary’s Ave. LaPlata, MD 20646). Interment to follow at the Immanuel Methodist Cemetery (17400 Aquasco Rd. Brandywine, MD 20613).
