Rita B. Shorter

Rita B. Shorter 93 of Bel Alton, MD passed away on Tuesday August 30, 2022 at her home.

Rita was born on October 18, 1928 in Bel Alton, MD to the late Francis and Mary Burch. She is also predeceased by her husband James Donald Shorter; daughter, Judy Farrall and son-in-law L.K. Farrall; brothers, Francis Burch, Hayden Burch and Jack Burch.

She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Nalley (Wayne) and Margie Earnshaw (Dick). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and a host of great Grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday September 9, 2022 from 9:30 AM until Funeral Mass at 11 AM at the St. Ignatius Chapel Point Church (8855 Chapel Point Church Rd. Port Tobacco, MD 20677). Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
