Robert Coberly Obituary

Robert (Bob) Edward Coberly, Sr, 75 of Waldorf MD died peacefully in Clinton, MD at Medstar Southern MD Hospital on December 15, 2025. He was a retired construction project manager and a veteran of the US Airforce (which included 13 months in Korea), a lifetime member of the VFW and lived in Charles County for over 40 years.

Bob was born on June 21,1950 at the Fort Campbell Army base in Kentucky and was raised in Tampa, Florida after his father was discharged.

His parents Edward Harrison Coberly (deceased) and Esther Jane (Strayer) Coberly

In addition, he was predeceased in death by his sister Sylvia Coberly and one nephew Wayne Coberly

He is survived by his mother Esther Jane Coberly, his wife Donna K Coberly, one brother Earl William Coberly(Peggy), two sons Donald Tyler Harrison Coberly, Robert Edward Coberly Jr (Haley), one daughter Christie Ann Coberly, two granddaughters Lynzi and Elizabeth Castimore, six great grandchildren Gunner, Paul, Austin, Kayleigh, Mylah, and Marley, sister in -law Cynthia Deane, brother-in-law Joseph Lippold, and many numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Bob was a fan of the Miami Dolphins, Baltimore Orioles, The Florida Gators, and the Washington Capitals. He had many activities that he enjoyed, which included fishing, golfing, billiards, baseball, playing cards, hunting, keno, and watching sports. He lived his life always being honest, he loved his family.

Family and friends will gather for a service on January 3, 2026,at 3 PM at the Farmhouse located at 5695 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646.
