Robert Eugene Busser (Bob) age 86 of The Villages Florida and formally of LaPlata, Maryland passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 7, 2022.
Born on November 28, 1935 in Alhambra, California, Bob was the son of the late Francis David Busser and Lillian Elizabeth (Baker) Busser. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Jean (Busser) Larson, brother-in-law Rich Larson and his brother Francis D. Busser.
He graduated from High School and Technical College in Alhambra, California and was drafted into the Army in 1957. He met his wife, Ann Sharon May (Sharry) when he was stationed in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Bob and Sharry married and moved to Maryland where they raised three children; Mauri, Lauri and Robert. Sadly, their daughter Mauri passed away in 1982 and their son Robert passed away in 2021.
He worked for C & P Telephone Company for 35 years. After retirement he and Sharry traveled the world extensively before she passed way in 2013. Bob Remained at the home they built in The Villages, Florida for some years before he moved back to Maryland to be with his family.
He resided with his daughter, Lauri and son-in-law, Charlie Stone in Leonardtown, Maryland. Bob fondly known as “Bapoo” loved spending time with his grandchildren, Mark (Melinda) Stone, Jason (Shannon) Stone, Shara (Vincent) Morales, Madelyn and Gracelyn Busser. He enjoyed watching his great grandchildren play and grow. His great grandchildren are; Marcus, Mya, Parker, Finley, Brielle, Adalee Stone and Charlie Ann Morales.
Bob was a huge Washington Redskin football fan. He loves sports and was his grandkids “biggest fan” watching them play a variety of sports. He was a wealth of knowledge of Trivia questions, sports facts, history, movies and music.
Bob will be remembered and honored on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home in LaPlata, Maryland. The viewing will be held from 10 Am – 12 Noon with services at Noon. Interment will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery. LaPlata, Maryland.
