Ruth Ann Partridge, 65, a beloved mother, Nana, and friend, passed away on December 05, 2025. Born on September 28, 1960, in Washington, D.C., Ruth was a lifelong resident of the area. She graduated from La Plata High School with the Class of 1978 and immediately began her career with the United States Federal Government. Through dedication, perseverance, and hard work, she steadily advanced throughout her career, ultimately retiring as a Senior Program Analyst in 2015. Throughout her impressive 37-year career, she earned multiple performance awards and accolades.
While building a demanding career, Ruth was first and foremost a devoted mother to her son, Stephen, and daughter, Brianna. Despite long commutes and the challenges of her work environment, she never let exhaustion dim her presence for her children. Whether cheering from the sidelines at Stephen’s sports games or supporting Brianna at horse shows, she was always there—steadfast, encouraging, and proud. Ruth unfailingly empowered her children to pursue their dreams, offering unwavering love and support every step of the way.
Ruth lived a life defined by selflessness. She consistently placed the needs of others before her own, and her warm, giving spirit was felt by all who knew her. She loved her family and friends fiercely, and to be loved by Ruth was truly a gift. Her greatest joy came from being Nana to her three grandchildren, Makayla, Carter, and Ava. Being their Nana meant the world to her, and her love for them knew no bounds.
Ruth is survived by her children; her cherished grandchildren; her mother, Ruth Rexroth; and her brother, Robert Rexroth. She is reunited in the Lord with her father, Charlie Rexroth, and her brother, Richard Rexroth.
A memorial service celebrating Ruth’s life will be held in April. Further details will be shared by the family.
