Sandra K. Shade

Sandra Shade 73, 0f Colonial Beach, VA passed away on January 4, 2020 LaPlata, MD.

Sandra was born on September 2, 1946 in Washington, DC to the late Robert and Mary Hampton. She is also predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Shade; daughter, Sharon Bowley; brothers, Robert ‘Buddy” Hampton, Thomas Hampton, and Gary Hampton; sister, Barbara Tiley.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Meunier; son, Kenneth Shade; brothers, Michael Hampton, and Kenneth Hampton; sisters, Janice Hampton, Teresa Lee, Carol Pashkevich, and Susan Brown. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Sandra worked for the Prince George’s Police Department as a records clerk. She moved from Forestville, MD to Colonial Beach, VA. 7 years ago. Sandra loved her family, friends, living at the beach and her dog Sammi. She touched the lives of everyone she met and was known for her kindness and  was also a member of American Legion Post 148 Ladies Auxiliary.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday January 25, 2020, 2 PM at the American Legion Post 148 (27 Colonial Ave. Colonial Beach, VA 22443)
