Shelba Jean Reese

Shelba Jean (Bobbie) Reese 83 of Bryans Road, MD, passed away on Saturday June 20, 2020 in LaPlata, MD.

Shelba was born on June 29, 1936 in Toms Creek, VA to the late John and Lola Willis. She is also predeceased by her brother, Lester Willis and son-in-law, Jack Schroth.

She is survived by her loving husband, Douglas (Jim) Reese; daughters’ Rhonda Bowie (Randy) and Deborah Schroth; brothers, John Clement Willis and Benny Roger Willis; sister, Lovetta Reece; grandchildren, Kristin Simmons (Dave), Jaclyn Dresch (John), Jaime Bowie (Billy), Lynsi Weisman (Jake) and Lauryn Norman (Steve) and 10 great grandchildren. She loved and was loved by many others.

Shelba and Douglas were married for 66 years.  She was a member of Calvary Gospel Church in Waldorf, MD.  Bobbie was a sweet, wise and kind person.  She had a quiet spirit. Bobbie enjoyed watching professional baseball, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.  Her most treasured times was spending time with her family.

The family will receive friends on Thursday June 25, 2020 from 9 until service time at 11 AM, officiated by Pastor Marvin Harris at  Arehart-Echols Funeral Home LaPlata, MD. Interment to follow at the Trinity Memorial Gardens Waldorf, MD.

Pallbearers will be Dave Simmons, John Dresch, Billy Bakir, Jake Weisman, Steve Norman and Roger Willis, Jr.
