Sybil Diane Burns, 75, of Waldorf, MD passed away on July 22, 2020 at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC.
Born in Prattville, AL on May 17, 1945 to the late James and Mable Preskitt, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Burns, Jr. Sybil leaves behind her daughter, Patricia Kilinski (Danny); son, James “Billy” Burns(Danielle); brother, Jimmy Preskitt; sister, Pamela Landrum; and grandchildren, Tre, Hannah, Daniel, Bentley and James, Jr.
Sybil retired from the Library of Congress. She was an avid Redskins fan and enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel, listening to country music, dancing and traveling to the beach in North Carolina. She was very social and a good friend to many. Sybil’s favorite pastime was spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She leaves as her legacy a family whose many joys would have been impossible without her, and in whose hearts she will forever remain.
