Tammy Gausman, a longtime resident of Charles County, MD., entered into God’s kingdom on December 2, 2023, at home with family. The daughter of Donald E. Acree and Mary E. Browne was born in Bell County, Texas on February 26, 1959. She moved with family many times ultimately growing up in Bowie, MD.
She leaves behind her husband, Jon, two sons; Kyle (wife Brandy, granddaughter Emmalyn and grandson Eli) and Dylan (wife Casey and granddaughter Jody); stepmother, Carolyn Acree; two sisters; Carla Solari and Jean Bell (husband Pat); six nieces and nephews and six great nieces and nephews. She was superseded in death by her parents and sister Terry Schneider.
Tammy had a great impact on those who had the privilege of knowing her as she touched many lives. She is most remembered as fun, a caring mother, loving wife, and helping innumerous people through everyday life, works of faith, and Lifestyles. She was selfless whose passing has left an unfillable gap in the hearts of her loved ones.
To remember, honor, and sanctify her death, services will take place at La Plata United Methodist Church, 100 Port Tobacco Road, La Plata, MD., on December 18, 2023, where the viewing begins 10 am and funeral service at 11 am followed by the repass. All are welcome to attend, please be aware the church elevator is not working. To honor her passion for lifting people up and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lifestyles of Maryland at the following link: https://lifestylesofmd.org/Tammy.
“Spend time with your children, take a walk with your loved ones, and make a toast to enduring friendships lifelong and beyond," written by Tammy.
