Timothy Lawry

Timothy Thomas Lawry, (1955-2026) 70, passed away peacefully in Charles County Maryland.  “Tim”, was born in Portland Oregon 6/21/1955. He was preceded in death by His Father Ian Lawry and Mother Barbra Smith.  He was survived by his devoted wife Ginny Yalap, Daughter Aeriel Misner, Son, Ian Lawry, and Daughter Elizabeth Lawry.

Grandchildren, Luke, Sarah, and Claire.

Tim had a 30+ year career with the United States Military. He piloted helicopters, fixed wing cargo aircraft and small personal aircraft.  He was a lifelong learner and held multiple degrees and became an attorney after retirement.

His hobbies included flying, classic car restoration, and building custom furniture.  Tim could be described as a man of routine and an extremely funny whit.  

Funeral Service will be held at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home P.A. 211 St, Mary’s Ave LaPlata MD. Jan 21st, 2026. Viewing is @10am the service is @11am.  Tim will be buried at Arlington Cemetery, February 17th, 2026.
