Virginia Ritchie Obituary

Virginia Mae Ritchie, 87, passed away on May 11, 2020 at Sagepoint Senior Living Services in LaPlata, MD.

Born in Washington, DC on September 2, 1932 to the late William and Vernie Hardy, she is also preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Wodling; and sisters, Shirley Virgin, Dorothy Warner and Janet Baker. Virginia is survived by her sons, Wayne Ritchie and William "Jack" Ritchie; brothers, Micky Baker, Wayne Baker and Mitchell Baker; sisters, Emily Early and Hazel Nolan; and seven beloved grandchildren.

Along with being a homemaker, Virginia took pride in her career as a waitress in Upper Marlboro, MD. She also worked in retail at the Dollar Store in Waldorf, MD. Virginia enjoyed spending time with her family and going to garage sales. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
