Walda Frances Yowell

Walda Frances Yowell 89 of Pomfret, MD passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday March 22, 2025.

Walda was born on December 1, 1935 in Denver Co. to the late Walter Gahan and Josephine Gahan. She is also predeceased by her husband, Robert E. Yowell, Sr.

Walda is survived by her daughter, Robin Bell; sons, Robert E. Yowell, Jr. (Hazel), David W. Yowell (Beverly) and Christopher R. Yowell (Julie). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was a self-employed insurance agent in the Metropolitan area for 60 years. Always enjoying traveling, reading a good book and her grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Monday April 7, 2025 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the St. Joseph’s Church Hall (4590 St. Josephs Way Pomfret, MD 20675) Her Funeral Mass will be held in the Church at 11 am. Interment will be on Tuesday April 29, 2025 at 10:30 am at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery (11301 Crain Hwy. Cheltenham, MD 20623).
