Walter E. Parker, Jr, “Eddie”, of Saluda, Virginia formally of Edgewater, Maryland left very suddenly on April 28, 2024, with his family present. He was born to Walter E. Parker, Sr. and Barbara Ellen (Fletcher) Parker on Mary 11, 1951. He had a very successful career in the construction industry. As he owned and operated C & E Garage Door, Inc from 1989-2021. He loved his family, friends, classic cars, exercising, and his newfound hobby, Diamond art.
Eddie is survived by his daughters, V. Lynne Moss (Rick) of Chesapeake, Virginia, Amanda Keithley (Jason) of Saluda, Virginia and Teresa McMahan (Anthony) of Chantilly, Virginia; sisters, June Sparrow (Ira) of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, Sharon Sparrow of North Beach, Maryland; grandchildren, Brooklyne Conney, Courtney Conney, Abigail Keithley, Hannah Keithley, Samanatha McMahan, Lillian McMahan, Jonanthan McMahan and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter E. Parker Sr. and Barbara Parker, sister, Wanda Darlene Unkle, wife Carol Garrett and the mother of his children Judith Parker.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 14, 2024, at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home (211 St. Mary’s Ave, La Plata, Maryland). The family will start receiving family and friends at 10am. His service will be held at 11am. Interment of ashes to follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens (3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Rd, Waldorf, Maryland).
