Wayne Howard Becker, 80 of King George, VA passed away on Monday November 25, 2024 in La Plata ,MD.
Wayne was born on May 26, 1944 in Washington, DC to the late William A. Becker and Margaret G. Becker. He is also predeceased by his brothers, William J. Becker and David M. Becker.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ramona Gayle Becker; sons, Guy Howard Becker and Rodger Dale Becker; daughter, Theresa Anne Cooper; sisters, Mildred G. Stephens and Betty Ann Johnson (Gordon); 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren.
Wayne was a resident of St. Mary’s County for 34 years before moving to King George for 9 years. He was also a summer resident of Monroe Bay Campground since 1995 and during this time they’ve made and lost many friends. He loved Bluegrass music and their beloved dog “Molly” and touched many lives and hearts during his Dash in between. He was a Volunteer of Silver Hill Volunteer Fire Department for approximately 5 years. Wayne was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
The family will receive friends on Friday December 6, 2024 from 10 AM until service time at 12 Noon at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home (211 St. Mary’s Ave. La Plata, MD 20646). Interment will be private.
Wayne’s presence will be missed by his friends and family but never forgotten.
