William "Bill" Payne

William “Bill” Payne 73 of LaPlata, MD passed away on January 8, 2023 in LaPlata, MD.

Bill was born on March 2, 1949 in Washington, DC to the late William and Dorothy Payne. He is also predeceased by his loving wife Mary Payne.

Bill served his country proudly in the United States Army. He then worked his career at Hunt Ford now LaPlata Ford in LaPlata, MD. He also loved helping others.

He is survived by his son, Travis Payne; Daughter, Jessica Payne; sisters, Connie Aleshire and Maryann Griffis; grandchildren, Corey, Chelsie and Courtney; great grandchildren, Sadie and Rhys.

The family will receive friends on Friday January 20, 2023 from 10 until his Funeral Service at 11 AM at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home (211 St. Mary’s Ave. LaPlata, MD 20646). His Inurnment will be at a later date with his wife at Maryland Veterans Cemetery (Cheltenham, MD)
